Rome

Our first 4 days in Italy began in Rome. We were fortunate to have a walking tour of Ancient Rome the first day. Our guide, Maria-Theresa, was so welcoming and quite knowledgable. She not only showed us around the ancient ruins and other high points, but she also helped us acclimate to the city. Her advice on trains and taxis and even coffee was very helpful for the rest of our journey.

We also had a 5 hour private tour of St. Peters and the Sistine Chapel from a former Dallas resident with degrees in Religion, Art History and Philosophy. She was a wealth of knowledge and we so appreciated the indepth view of this world treasure.
