In June of 2017, Ann and I enjoyed a wonderful 10 day vacation in Italy.
We started our adventure in Rome where we stayed for 4 days. One of those days we took the train to Florence for a short (too short) visit to that wonderful city. After Rome we ventured by train to Salerno in the Campania region along the coast. While there we took a day trip to Pompei. From Salerno we took the ferry to Amalfi and the walk up what felt like 1000 stair, to Atrani just on the other side of the mountain. Atrani is a lovely village with less than 1000 people and we enjoyed a couple relaxing days. One of those days included an excursion via charter to the Island of Capri where we enjoyed the view and sat in the shade overlooking the water. Finally we ventured by train back to Rome where we departed for the 11 hour flight back to Dallas.
We hope you enjoy some of these photos we took while away. Italy is quite a photogenic country and as a photographer, I was thrilled to have such beautiful countryside to capture.
